Who we are
01 We are a group of students that have decided to organize against rapidly growing global extremism, primarily in Islam. While extremism is mostly seen as affiliated with Islam, it is not limited to this group, and it does not represent the entire Muslim world. Our ultimate goal is to promote awareness about abuses in radical Islam, and the intolerance that it irradiates all over the world, while at the same time asking that other people be tolerant.
02 For the last 500 years many people have died in their struggle for freedom and justice. The struggles against fascism and racism have culminated in some of the most horrific wars humanity has seen. After the end of the WWII, a sense of peace and prosperity lay over the developed countries. But this was a false sense.
03 Blinded by blasé, prosperity and liberal utopia, free nations have let the snake come too close. Although radical Islam is already established in the free world and has many supporters, mostly immigrants from Muslim countries, we believe that it is not yet too late to organize against it. We believe radical Islam to be equivalent to fascism and racism. Ironically, radical Islam has found allies among the liberal societies of the free world. The liberal governments have called for tolerance and understanding but this has led to the alienation of their Muslim communities, by emphasizing their differences from the general populations. The assumption that they will be able to integrate turned out to be absolutely wrong. There isn't even such word as "secular" in radical Islam's dictionary. Writers such as Irshad Manji - who is herself a Muslim--have been heavily criticized by radical Muslims for speaking out against such things as intolerance, terrorism, and treatment of women in Islam.
04 In the light of recent events in the Netherlands, where a famous Dutch filmmaker was recently murdered for making a short film which brought to peoples' attention a woman's plight in Islam, we were shocked that many of the media reports focused on the fact that intolerance of Islam was growing among the Dutch population, rather than the fact that Islam continues to develop intolerance for others. For years, the Netherlands has been tolerant of these Islamo-fascists, and has been putting up with their radical views. But enough is enough. Now, the Dutch government has finally admitted that their plan for social integration is a disaster.
05 The purpose of this website is to give a sober look at the political and cultural future of the world. We do not claim to have solutions to the existing problems, but we will try to bring to public attention the seriousness of the threat of Islamic extremists beyond the US' "War on Terror".

We would like to conclude with an absolutely genious quotation from an influential Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, that also has been criticized by the world media for their "intolerance":
06
"Afraid of being called racist, we have been so tolerant with regard to these religious fascists that they have been allowed to merrily undermine the roots of our freedom."
How we're different
01 What makes CAGE truly unique as a source of news about Islamism are its one-of-a-kind format and journalistic genre. We are not a blog. And we are not a conventional news website either. We are precisely in between. Our website is a member of a new breed of online information resources, a rightful child of the era when blogs and conventional media embrace. We inherit the best qualities of each kind of information resources, capitalising and improving upon them. And out of that blend our unique qualities are born.
02 Variety of views
Blogs, unless they have multiple contributors, usually belong to a single proprietor. Thus, his or her set of values and opinions become the guiding principles of the entire website, and, as a result, the published materials tend to reflect solely these viewpoints. We celebrate diversity. Although CAGE has only two permanent maintainers as of now, their opinions on Islam and its compatibility with the Western values differ susbstantially. And our materials — in the variety of opinions presented therein — reflect this diversity. And remember, we don't have to be the only ones. You can always join us and make this place even more diverse.
03 News at the speed of light
We survey dozens of online and print news resources every single day to pick only the best news about radical Islamism in the West and elsewhere. And we do this right after Europe — our main area of interest — begins its working day and news from across the continent start pouring into the net. For instance, the recent story on Germans' opinions on Islam got published at CAGE four days before it hit media outlets in other parts of the world.
04 Grassroots level
Unlike the MSM, we are private individuals, able and willing to investigate what happens in a small, ordinary Locationville, which rarely makes the news, but which in itself is a rather accurate representation of the rest of the country. While the MSM will never get to it until, God forbid, something horrendous such as 7/7 happens here, we can go out to the local Muslim communities and investigate the widespread sentiments therein in order to create a realistic picture of the spread of Islamic radicalism here, at home.
05 Cultural background
Every one of us has a unique cultural experience behind his back. Each of us has lived in a number of countries over the recent years, absorbing the local customs and ways of thinking, learning to look at things from a different perspective, and appreciating the diversity and beauty of non-Muslim cultures even more than before. Above all, however, this unique experience has also taught us a number of world languages, which enables us to pick up and translate one-of-a-kind stories about radical Islamism that would otherwise never appear in the English media, just because the local governments don't want the World to know the real picture.
F.A.Q.
Q Why is this not just 'another' typical anti-extremist website?
A We feel that many anti-extremist organizations, such as the Anti Defamation League, are a wonderful source of information, and are very positively active in combatting extremism. However, most people do not stumble onto websites such as ADL, and get their information strictly from hearsay or the closest media outlet. Our webiste takes articles and quotations from a vast variety of media sources. We are a group of students who wish to get the word out on a smaller platform, where anybody that visits our site can contribute to our understanding of the roots and consequences of intolerance.
Q What do you get from making this website?
A Moral Satisfaction.
Q Do you hate Muslims?
A We don't, and we think everybody should know this. We, however, detest radical Islamists who massacre innocent people just because they are 'infidels' as well as those who pretend to be peace-loving and all-forgiving at one moment and call for waging jihad fee sabeel Allah the very next second. Any Muslim who wishes to renounce violence in all of its forms, including the murders of the Israelis and anti-Semitic sermons, and who sincerely rejects the call for imposition of the rule of Islam upon the globe stated in Qur'an's 8:39 and elsewhere is welcome to join our ranks and fight against Islamic intolerance together with us. We admire Muslims such as Homa Arjomand, Nonie Darwish and Irshad Manji and consider them to be our friends. That, we think, says it all.
Q Are you paid for making this website?
A Nobody pays us a cent for making and supporting this website. Moreover, we even pay for the hosting and the domain name from our own funds so that you would be able to enjoy our materials.
Q How often is your website updated?
A The websited is updated on a daily basis. Every day we post news related to religious extremism that we find in sources from all over the world. Articles are posted less regularly, but we try our best to publish at least one article a day, which is usually taken from third-party websites.
Q Are you going to simply reprint the articles from other sources and have nothing of your own?
A No, no, no, and one more time no. We will definitely post articles, reviews and maybe even media of our own making. It all depdends upon the availability of free time.
Q Did you steal your name from Coalition Against Global Exploitation?
A No, we haven't even had any idea of such organization existing at the point when the site was being created. CAGE is an acronym of entirely our own making, and it took us a lot of effort to come up with it.
Q What country are you from?
A Free.
Q You're just a bunch of [expletive deleted] Zionists willing to destroy Islam and subject free people of the World to your will! Why should I believe the crap you're saying?
A Firstly,
you are by far not the first person to say that. Be original. Why must anything even remotely critical of Islam have something to do with Zionism?

Secondly,
people writing for CAGE come from very diverse backgrounds, nationalities and cultures. We have no discrimination with regard to age, gender, religion or nationality among our team members. We do, however, have one thing in common: free, critical thinking.

Thirdly,
get over with the conspiracy theories. They have never done any good to anybody.

Fourthly,
it is entirely up to you whether to believe us or not. We honestly do not care. Still, just keep in mind that we do not quote radical imams nor do we quote Israeli extremists as our evidence. Instead of using questionable sources as a last resort, as many defenders of radical Islam do, we present evidence from credible ones such as state officials, renowned researchers, trusted media and direct eyewitnesses.

Finally,
this website isn't about Israel. Nor is it about the United States. So it is a good idea to quit assuming that this is a website established by the American Jewry. Let's get this straight: while we attempt to cover events happening Worldwide, our area of interest is and will remain Europe. There are priorities.
Q Why 'global' extremism, though? You seem to be focused exclusively on Islam.
A Yes, we are focused on Islamic extremism; after all, that is what we have created this website to fight against. But Islamic extremism, just like Islam itself, is truly global in both in its aspirations and manifestations. Counties all across the globe — Australia, Bali, England, France, Israel, India, Nigeria, Russia, Sudan, Spain, the US and many others — have all suffered from Islamic fanaticism in the recent years. Although we pay most of our attention to Europe, the forefront of the struggle between the Free World and Islamofascism, we cover events related to Islamic extremism worldwide. And in that sense, we do fight against global extremism. Global Islamic extremism.
Q I think you are outrageously biased. What is your response to such accusations?
A If by being biased one means having a strong opinion on a given issue, an opinion that stems from years of careful research, then, yes, we are undoubtedly guilty of being biased. Alternatively, if one thinks we can achieve objectivity by reporting instances of religious extremism coming from non-Muslims, he must realise one simple truth: we cannot do this. We are a website that monitors Islamic extremism worldwide, and, inevitably, our reports are going to involve Muslims and Islam, whether one likes it or not. To do otherwise is to contradict the entire purpose of this website: raising awareness of the vast scale and pervasiveness of Islamic extremism. And no, we do not attempt to demonise Muslims in doing so: we report only what has happened, what we think people should know. Nothing more. Nothing less.

dolphin's essence

Relentless researcher with an inextinguishable thirst for knowledge, he first started studying Islam in 2002. Has gone a path from a utopian leftist to a convinced anti-idiotarian. Studied the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Met and was in close relations with a number of moderate Muslims, discovering well-hidden jew-hatred and supremacism every time. A convinced atheist.
