Jean, 104, reveals top secret to a long and healthy lifetime as she reunites with household in Perthshire to celebrate her birthday

Jean Cameron, the oldest resident at Dalweem Residential Residence in Aberfeldy, has just celebrated her 104th birthday surrounded by family members soon after far more than a year of Covid-19 limits.

The birthday lady shared her techniques for a prolonged and healthy daily life – even citing her favourite Tv set soap as anything that has aided continue to keep her chirpy about the years.

Jean states: “I felt I was quite blessed to have acquired to 104 and have experienced such a pleased lifetime.

“It was superb to rejoice with household and good friends who I have not found a lot of thanks to Covid-19 restrictions.”

Jean turned 104 on June 1.

Jean was born in Strath Tummel in 1917 and has lived by means of the First and Next Earth Wars, the 1918 influenza pandemic, the moon landing and now the Coronavirus pandemic.

Her mom died when she was just four many years old and she was brought up by her grandparents. Her grandparents owned the neighborhood post office environment, wherever Jean labored, at some point using it more than when they retired.

She grew up with a sister and three brothers – two of whom fought in the Second Environment War.

She waited until finally her 30s to get married to partner Robert, who was a nearby farmer in Strath Tummel.
